Another highflying mystery series worth checking out.The Beckmann family, Albert, Grace, the boys, and the housekeeper Millie are back for their second mystery. Grace and the twins are out for a Sunday fly to the Carlsbad Caverns with Albert in his new Piper Turbo Arrow. Albert is a doctor, and his family is well off, so they can enjoy such perks, but there's nothing enjoyable about finding the owner, James Delacroix, of a FBO dead on top of his yearly new Cadillac, especially since they had seen him very much alive not long ago. What makes it worse is that his daughter is Albert's chief nurse at his medical service. After they discover the body, they are asked to stay in the neighboring town of Copper Creek with Delacroix's girlfriend for the night. When Delacroix's daughter Arlene hears about the murder, having no faith in baby-faced sheriff, Tim, she asks Albert and Grace to investigate it. Grace is excited at the prospect. Albert helps out, and so do many others in the mystery, including their son Spence who doesn't want to go to college and is a natural sleuth just like his mother. Suspects and theories begin to form. Everyone in their hometown and in Copper Creek are aware that they are investigating, which leads to some hot and dangerous moments.
Jackie Lewin uses the first couple of chapters to introduce the family and their lifestyle. She does get into the mystery pretty quick and gives some pretty good false leads. The reader is also entertained with the lives of the Beckmann family.

Riveting!

A Rippin' Good YarnWestern novels are not my favorites, but, like I said, I had other motives for choosing The Ghost of Blue Bone Mesa. And I am happy to report that I am glad I chose it. Not only is it good story-telling, but I learned some things along the way. Good old Mr. Conwell is still teaching me, after all these years.
Conwell's story flows with precision. His storytelling never lags, drawing the reader into his narrative. His colorful language is a plus. This is a great read for fans of the genre, and it is a quick, fun read for those of us who are longtime fans of the author!

Charming romance which is great for a light summer read.

Just a reader of dark fictionmean in this area. The Tiamat series I guess. I like it.
It seemed to have adventure to it; it went to many places,
Malta, and Avalon. And it gave a little insite to the demonic
world. I guess it helped me understand if anything, a little more of this not talked about world, that I know exists.

Excellent debut novel!Janeen Warner is determined to succeed on her own without help from friends or family. She owns a gift shop, Chatter Box, and ultimately hopes that she will be able to distribute her custom-made kaleidoscopes to elite department stores. Right now, however, Janeen just needs enough sales to make this month's rent.
World famous composer and concert pianist Georgios Andros has lost his music. Burned out, and feeling as though something is lacking in his life, Georgios decides it's time to "find" himself. Looking for a Mother's Day gift, he wanders into Chatter Box and is mesmerized by both shopkeeper and kaleidoscopes. Could this be exactly what he's been looking for?
Janeen and Georgios are two very well-developed, realistic characters; she is portrayed as very stubborn, independent, and distrustful, shunning his every move to help. Georgios must accept the fact that money cannot buy everything -- especially love.
The intricate details of creating a kaleidoscope are both intriguing and fascinating -- not a typical romance heroine's trade. The means by which Georgios composes his music are just as compelling, and the narrative sings without being bogged down in too much description.
I recommend KALEIDOSCOPE as a sweet, tender and charming romance with endearing characters and an original storyline. Blanche Marriott is a delightful new voice in romantic fiction.

Wow!

Highly recommendedWhen an unexpected blizzard turns North Carolina hazardous, cutting off power and transportation Sheriff Sharyn Howard doesn't expect Beau Richmond to burst into the door of the sheriff's office screaming his guilt. Beau is one of Diamond Spring's leading citizens. His charitable awards and good deeds are legendary. Despite his confused and distraught demeanor, Beau declares his guilt regarding the death of Michael Smith forty years ago. An hour later, deputies find Beau hanging from a corner beam, a chair knocked out from under his feet. Further examination proves Beau suffocated after he hung himself, and his neck wasn't broken. Chances are that someone murdered him right there in the conference room of the sheriff's office.
Sharyn knows first hand how quickly an investigation can go astray and charge the wrong man with a crime. Before her officers come under further scrutiny, she must discover the truth of a small boy's death forty years ago, and how it leads not only to Beau Richmond. Further, Sharyn finds herself embroiled in the political shenanigans of DA's office while trying to protect her own office staff.
THE LAST TO REMEMBER by the writing team of Joyce and Jim Lavene create a twisting plot of deception and murder that will keep the page turnings. The characters present themselves realistically; they are normal people with extraordinary secrets. Further, the character development regarding Sheriff Sharyn Howard continues to evolve, promising interesting revelations in sequels. Highly recommended.

A Coachello Romance
Some things are described in a too childish way, but that is only peripheral things, the story is cool and suprisingly I really liked it. Good book! PS: Lot of spelling mistakes I also noticed, very disturbing at first!
